This is a 1 hour lecture on the objective evaluation of the hypertonic pelvic floor.

It gives a systematic and practical way of doing the objective evaluation of the hypertonic pelvic floor.

It is advised that a good understanding of the anatomy, physiology and mechanics of the hypertonic pelvic floor be obtained before doing this lecture.

This course includes:

  • a systematic way of assessing the pelvic floor,
  • how to test for allodynia,
  • how to test for vaginismus,
  • internal and external pelvic floor muscle evaluation
  • ethics when assessing the pelvic floor

This is the second in a three part course on the hypertonic pelvic floor.
